Tissue Culture Acclimation Guide
W A S H & R E M O V E
Wash off gel media from plant with room temperature water. Remove dead leaves, stems, and/or roots. Any remaining gel will cause the plant to rot
D I S I N F E C T
**Optional but highly recommended**
Soak the plant in a mixture of clean water & hydrogen peroxide (1 tablespoon) OR iodine (a few drops). Leave in mixture for about 5 to 10 minutes
R I N S E
Rinse off the plant with clean water
P L A N T
Plant in a substrate of your choice (root plug, perlite, Fluval stratum, or sphagnum moss). The substrate should be moist, not wet, as this can lead to root rot.
M I N I G R E E N H O U S E
Keep the plant in 100% humidity by using a dome, seedling tray, or Ziploc for 2 weeks
R E D U C E H U M I D I T Y
Slowly introduce your plant to room conditions. Gradually reduce humidity by making small holes in the plastic cover or opening the bag a little every few days
